Laura Bruco, MSW, LSWAIC, offers an intensive 12-week therapy program and sponsors WSB to make sure you’re up to speed. Here’s who it’s for:
You are an adult at a crossroads in your life and seek more intensive therapy than is available by seeing a therapist once a week or less. You experienced maladjustments and/or trauma early in your life and struggled to untangle coping mechanisms that no longer work for you. Maybe you don’t know yourself or even know how to know yourself. Maybe you keep finding yourself in relationships that repeat past patterns, no matter how hard you try not to. The idea of spending years in therapy weekly to go anywhere seems too little. You need a therapist who understands and has experienced it themselves.
I offer a unique 12-week intensive online program for a small group delivered via telehealth for anyone in Washington. Each week will include a discovery group focused on self-exploration and skill development; an experience group focused on practice and play with new ways to relate to others; and individual psychotherapy to help meet your individual needs throughout the program (partial package available if you already have a therapist).
Program dates: The first group session will take place on 16/08/2022 and the last group session will take place on 03/11/2022.
Program: The groups will take place via Télésanté on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Details: Visit the Program Details Page for more information about the program.
First step: The first step to signing up is to schedule a 20 minute consultation with me at thecenterofyou.net/booking.
I specialize in working with adult clients who have experienced complex trauma and maladjustments in the childhood environment. This could be anyone and specifically includes people who have previously been diagnosed with PTSD, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and substance use disorders. I welcome neurodivergent and gender diverse clients.
I understand what it is like to experience complex trauma in the childhood environment, and I am both neurodivergent and gender non-conforming/queer. If you are looking for a therapist who understands the nuances and experiences of recovery, I may be your person. I invite you to contact me for a free consultation to see if we would be a good fit for each other.
I chose to become a clinical social worker because of the values of the profession, the emphasis on deep exploration of human experience, and the focus on the person in their environment. In other words, I see you as an individual who developed within the context of your family of origin, social, cultural, biological and environmental factors. Diagnoses from traditional medical models focus on an individual’s observed behavior at a given time and can devalue your perspective and experience. Therefore, my approach is to empower you to know yourself and help you adapt the processes of untangling, reorganizing and fulfilling life that bring you peace.
