Local horse ranch hopes to raise $100,000 for major renovations at next Cowboy Ball

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. — A local horse therapy ranch is undergoing major renovations.

Santa Ynez Valley Therapeutic Riding Program officials say the family ranch has been long overdue for these renovations.

For years, the ranch has provided activities for children and adults with physical, cognitive, social, emotional and/or other challenges.

Their hope is to create a “stronger foundation for our incredible therapeutic riding program”.

The ranch’s main fundraiser, the Cowboy Ball, will take place on Saturday.

Organizers believe the event is key to creating the backbone of the ranch’s finances.

The renovations will allow the ranch to update itself and provide improved and safer facilities.

Their goal at the Cowboy Ball is to bring in or exceed $100,000 in order to continue providing great service to the community

Organizers say this event is vital because the ranch has been unable to raise enough funds since 2019 due to COVID restrictions.
