“Drug treatment saves lives and is widely accepted as the gold standard for treatment of opioid use disorder,” said Dr. Jason Kirby, the Chief Medical Officer of Landmark Recovery. “Our program enables patients to get the medications and therapy they need and, in most cases, to get on with their daily lives. Expanding our services to include the combination of evidence-based psychotherapy in conjunction with safe and highly effective medications, such as buprenorphine and naltrexone, ensures our patients receive the highest quality of care available. This program is also a great investment in the community and offers a chance to slow the epidemic of opioids.
Landmark’s opioid treatment program differs greatly from that of a traditional Suboxone clinic. It combines medication with a 12-month dialectical behavior therapy treatment program that includes weekly individual therapy sessions, group skills training and telephone counseling. Landmark’s approach to treating opioid addiction is rooted in evidence-based psychotherapy. Receiving medication is dependent on patient participation and completion of scheduled therapy sessions.
Landmark’s MAT program is currently offered to its two Louisville and Indianapolis Pitches.
