MONTREAL, April 21, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – Dialogue Health Technologies Inc. (TSX: CARE) (“Dialogue” or the “Company”), from Canada first virtual platform for care and well-being, launches Mental Health+ to support mental health challenges faced across Canada.

Building on the success of its web-based stress and wellness management and cognitive behavioral therapy (“iCBT”) programs, Mental Health+ streamlines Dialogue’s existing mental health offerings. This comprehensive suite of services will be available to all new customers as well as existing customers who wish to transition from their existing program.

The program emphasizes the seamless integration of different levels of intervention into a single program to maximize coverage across the continuum of care. Members have access to a multidisciplinary team and evidence-based resources from a single virtual platform. This means that they are supported throughout their prevention, treatment and recovery journey, thanks to:

  • Immediate and continuous assistance for early intervention and ongoing recovery through access to internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (“iCBT”), clinically proven to be effective in preventing and managing symptoms of depression and anxiety.

  • Progressive support until remission, which uses mental health best practices to ensure members receive the most appropriate level of intervention for the severity and nature of their specific symptoms. This includes access to coach-assisted self-therapy, live virtual therapy, and clinical assessment for cases requiring a higher level of intervention, such as psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy.

45% of Canadians have reported deterioration in their mental health during the pandemic and see an average delay of at least 8 days to see a mental health professional at Canada according to a 2021 Environics ReportDialogue with Mental Health+’s mission is to provide Canadians with a faster, more streamlined path to accessing mental health support, regardless of their specific issue or care preference.

“A collaborative, step-by-step care approach for common mental health conditions is the gold standard for delivering evidence-based care while reducing barriers to mental health support,” says dr. Marc Robinmedical director of Dialogue. “Mental Health+ enables greater access and a personalized approach to prevention, treatment and recovery.”

Members can use Mental Health+ services whenever they need help. The model of care also allows for seamless transitions between different levels of intervention when needed, all within the Dialogue Integrated Health Platform™.

“Mental Health+ promotes better health outcomes and can help members achieve them faster through an uninterrupted model of care and 360° support that goes beyond the usual norm of mental health offerings,” describes Dr. Kylie BennettDirector of Dialogue’s mental health program.

According to Mental Health Commission of Canada. 24% of Canadians report that the mental health support available through their benefits plan does not necessarily meet their needs (Environics 2021) and prefer to have more convenient options that allow them to be proactive about their mental well-being. Virtual access to mental health support reduces barriers and makes positive health outcomes more accessible to members through a truly collaborative, holistic approach.

“There are many benefits associated with providing our staff with easy access to healthcare services that align with customer and employee satisfaction. We wanted to empower our employees to be more proactive and preventative regarding their health”, said Marie-Claude LaporteVia Rail’s Senior Health and Wellness Advisor.

Through its Integrated Health™ platform, Dialogue is pleased to support its members with the introduction of its Mental Health+ program.
