MADISON HEIGHTS, MI (WXYZ) – Healing Haven, a centrally-based ABA therapy clinic, is hosting an on-site hiring event on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will take place at the administrative offices of Healing Haven, located at 30701 Barrington St., Suite 125, Madison Heights, MI, 48071.
The event coincides with Autism Acceptance Month in April. During this month, Healing Haven strives to spread a message of acceptance and inclusion of people with autism in society. With the continued increase in the number of children being diagnosed with autism, the demand for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services also continues to grow.
Healing Haven recruits dedicated and energetic individuals for full-time and part-time ABA Therapist and Registered Behavior Technician positions. These roles provide individual therapy for children to improve their communication, social, play and life skills.
Interested candidates can pre-schedule a time slot for an interview here. Also, walk-ins for interviews are welcome between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Individuals should bring their resume and be prepared to be interviewed by the Human Resources team. Job offers can be offered on site. Applicants will also have the opportunity to tour therapy clinics and meet Healing Haven President and Founder, Jamie McGillvary, MS, LLC, BCBA, LBA.
No experience in the field of ABA is required, as extensive hands-on, didactic and online training is provided to develop skills in Applied Behavior Analysis. Additionally, Healing Haven provides Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Healing Haven serves children and adolescents, ages 2-16, with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental needs, and their families. Located in Madison Heights, Healing Haven has three clinics on its campus. The Early Intervention Clinic serves children 2 to 5 years old. The School Readiness Clinic serves children ages 5-11. And the Life Skills Clinic serves children and teens ages 11-16.
In December 2021, the Center for Disease Control updated the prevalence of autism. It has risen to 1 in 44 children in the United States who are diagnosed with autism. ABA therapy is the most frequently recommended option for treating children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
