Offer classes to promote physical, mental and spiritual health.
During the pandemic, the importance of self-care in mind, body and soul became evident to many of us. While looking great can make you feel great, when we are balanced inside and out, this is when we are truly healthy. The owners of Katherine Jon Salon initially established the ARKK Academy as the education and personal development arm of their business for beauty industry professionals and business owners.
In July, the ARKK Wellness Center and Academy have had their grand opening to the public, offering a range of classes from yoga and reiki to personal and spiritual development. They also offer therapeutic services like dance and movement therapy and aromatherapy and crystal healing classes.
The grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting included visits from local officials, live music from 1 Step Ahead Band, healthy food tastings and tropical drinks.
Kat Riley’s long-standing business success story continues to flourish with the grand opening of The ARKK Academy, said Brookhaven City Clerk Donna Lent, who attended the grand opening. “This wellness center, born out of the pandemic and driven by the desire to heal through education and personal care, is a testament to Kat’s commitment to the community.”
